The practice opened in March 1993 and moved to it’s current home in New Street in June 2004.

We provide a complete veterinary service and a full range of medication, premium quality foods and a wide range of pet accessories.

Our aim is to provide the highest quality veterinary care by means of trained, friendly staff, the latest technology and medicines, high quality food items, on-site hospitalisation, plus an emergency after-hours response team.

Principal: John Alexander
B.Sc (Tas), BVSc (Qld), Veterinary Surgeon

John Alexander has worked as a vet in many countries, giving him experience with a range of animals in several countries before retuning to Australia. He started the Mid Mountains Practice in 1993 and is Principal Veterinarian.

Practice Manager: Heather

Heather is responsible for the smooth and friendly running of the practice.

Nursing: Helga

A fully qualified veterinary nurse, Helga has been with MMAHC for over 6 years. Like John and Heather, she does it for the love of animals.
